Cooperative Extension Centennial in the news!
The last couple months have been great ones for Cooperative Extension’s Centennial Celebration, including quite a few really great features in media around the state! Here are a few highlights:
- April 17, 2012: 100 years and counting: UW-Extension in Fond du Lac changes with the times. A great article about Cooperative Extension in Fond du Lac County, from the first ag agent hired in 1929 to innovative programs used today to connect with citizens. From the Fond du Lac Reporter.
- June 24, 2012: UW-Extension celebrates 100 years. Looks back at Cooperative Extension in Dodge County, from the first agricultural agent hired in 1932 to the partnerships that meet community needs today. From the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen.
- July 2012: Celebrating 100 Years. The Wisconsin Agriculturalist takes a look at the history of Cooperative Extension in Wisconsin, including some great historic photos.
- July 6, 2012: UW-Extension celebrates 100 years. The New Richmond News explores the history of Cooperative Extension in St. Croix County.
